Importing Products and Prices From Stripe Into ClickFunnels

If you already sell with Stripe, you can bring your existing Stripe products and prices into ClickFunnels instead of rebuilding them by hand. Imported items keep their real Stripe IDs, so the reporting, accounting, and automation you have set up on the Stripe side keeps matching your ClickFunnels orders. In this article, you will learn how to select products and prices in the import picker, what gets created in ClickFunnels, and why some prices cannot be imported.

  • An active ClickFunnels account

  • A Stripe account connected to your workspace

  • The installation’s sync mode set to Stripe → ClickFunnels or ClickFunnels ↔ Stripe (refer to Choosing Your Stripe Product Sync Mode)

  • Permission to create products in the workspace

You can reach the picker in three ways:

  • In the left-hand menu, select Stripe » Imported Products, then click Import Products.

  • On the Stripe installation page, click Import Products.

  • On the installation page, click Manage Imported Products next to the sync mode.

The page is titled Import Products, with the subtitle “Pick the products and prices you want to bring over from Stripe.”

The list shows the active products in the connected Stripe account. Products you have archived in Stripe are not offered for import.

  • Search products — type in the search field to filter by product name. Search matches the product name only, not its description.

  • Include products created from this workspace — off by default. ClickFunnels hides products that originated in this workspace and were pushed up to Stripe, so the list shows the products you actually came here to import. Tick the box if you want to see them anyway.

  • Load More — loads the next set of products from Stripe.

Each row can carry a badge:

  • Imported — you have already imported this product.

  • Created from this workspace — this Stripe product was created by ClickFunnels, not by you in Stripe.

Every product row expands to show its Stripe prices, each labelled with its type — One-time, Monthly, Yearly, Weekly, Daily, or an interval such as Every 3 months.

  1. Tick a product to select it along with all of its importable prices.

  2. Untick any individual price you do not want. The counter under the product name keeps up: “0 of 2 prices selected”, “1 of 2 prices selected”.

  3. Use Select All to select everything currently listed.

  4. Check your selection in the Selected for import drawer on the right. You can remove single entries or click Clear all to start over.

  5. Click Confirm in the drawer (the Import counter at the top shows how many items you are importing).

You do not have to import prices. If you untick a product’s last price, the product itself stays selected and the counter changes to Product Only Selected. ClickFunnels creates the product with no prices, and you can add ClickFunnels prices to it yourself or import Stripe prices for it later.

Some Stripe prices are shown but cannot be selected. The row tells you why:

Reason What it means
Tiered The price uses Stripe’s tiered (graduated or volume) billing.
Package The price bills in packages of units rather than per unit.
Metered The price is usage-based rather than a fixed licensed quantity.
Currency The price is in a currency other than your workspace currency, for example: “All prices use EUR; this workspace uses USD.”

A product whose prices are all unsupported shows No importable prices or the currency message. You can still import such a product on its own (product only) and give it ClickFunnels prices.

After you click Confirm, ClickFunnels shows a progress screen: “Importing your Stripe products…”. It updates itself, so leave it open and wait. When the run finishes you will see one of the following:

  • Import complete — with a summary such as “3 products and 5 prices imported”.

  • Import finished with issues — some items imported, some did not, with a reason listed for each failure.

  • Nothing was imported — every item failed; each reason is listed.

  • “This import is no longer available. Reload the products list to see what was imported.” — the progress page expired. Your import still ran; open Imported Products to see the result.

  • “The import couldn’t be completed. Please try again.” — the run itself failed and nothing was imported.

Click Done to go to the Imported Products list for that installation.

For each imported Stripe product, ClickFunnels creates a product with a single variant:

  • Name and description are copied from Stripe.

  • Images are copied from Stripe and attached to the ClickFunnels product.

  • The product is physical if it is marked as shippable in Stripe, otherwise digital. Package dimensions and weight come across when Stripe has them.

  • The product is created hidden — not visible in your store and not visible in the customer center — and is not taxable, with inventory tracking off.

For each imported Stripe price, ClickFunnels creates a price on that variant with the same amount, currency, and (for subscriptions) billing interval.

A one-time Stripe price arrives as a ClickFunnels one-time price, and a recurring Stripe price arrives as a ClickFunnels subscription — Stripe has no payment plan concept, so there is nothing to import a cap from. If you want a recurring imported price to stop after a set number of payments, convert it after the import: refer to Converting an Imported Subscription Into a Payment Plan.

If the Stripe product already exists in ClickFunnels, importing one of its prices attaches the price to the existing product rather than creating a duplicate.

Once the import has run, each imported price gets an ellipsis menu on its row in the product’s Pricing section — Edit price, Copy price, and, on a recurring price, the convert entry. Copying and converting are both available straight away, before the price has been sold, so you can finish shaping the prices before the product goes live. Refer to The Price Row Menu.

What you see What to do
No products in this Stripe account Add products in Stripe; they will appear here ready to import.
No products match your search Clear the search or try a different product name.
Stripe is a little busy right now Stripe’s rate limit was hit while loading. Wait a moment and click Try again.
We couldn’t load your Stripe products A temporary problem talking to Stripe. Click Try again.
Reconnect your Stripe account ClickFunnels no longer has access to this Stripe account. Click Reconnect Stripe and reconnect it to keep importing.

Why can't I see a product that exists in my Stripe account?

Three things hide products from the list: the product is archived in Stripe (only active products are offered), it was created from this ClickFunnels workspace (tick Include products created from this workspace to show it), or it is further down a very large catalogue — use search to find it.

Can I import the same product twice?

No — an imported product shows the Imported badge and its imported prices are no longer selectable. You can come back later and import additional prices for that product.

Can I have more than one ClickFunnels price for the same Stripe price?

Yes, but not by importing it twice. Import it once, then use Copy price in the ellipsis menu on that price’s row. Each copy points at the same Stripe price and starts hidden, with the ClickFunnels-side fields (name, trial, setup fee, and so on) editable. Refer to Copying an Imported Price.

Do I need to import all of a product's prices?

No. Import only the prices you plan to sell, and come back for the rest whenever you need them.

Can I import a Stripe price as a payment plan?

Not during the import — Stripe prices are either one-time or recurring, so a recurring one always comes across as a ClickFunnels subscription. You can convert it afterwards from the ellipsis menu on its row, as long as it has not been sold yet. Refer to Converting an Imported Subscription Into a Payment Plan.

Does importing change anything in my Stripe account?

No. Importing only reads from Stripe. The one exception is Sync imports to test mode, which creates test-mode copies of what you import so you can run test orders.

An import failed with a message about the description. Why?

ClickFunnels product descriptions are limited to 3,000 characters and Stripe allows longer ones. Shorten the description in Stripe and import the product again.
