Products: How to Set Up a Payment Plan
Published: Updated:
Payment plans allow your customers to buy products by paying in installments over time, instead of the full price upfront. This feature can make your higher-priced items more accessible to a wider range of customers, potentially boosting your sales and customer satisfaction. In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of setting up payment plans for your products.

Setting Up a Payment Plan on a Price Imported From Stripe
Section titled “Setting Up a Payment Plan on a Price Imported From Stripe”Stripe prices are either one-time or recurring — Stripe has no payment plan concept — so a subscription price you import from Stripe arrives in ClickFunnels as a subscription, with no number of payments attached.
You can turn one into a payment plan afterwards, provided the price has never been sold:
-
Open the product and click the Pricing tab.
-
On the imported subscription price’s card, click Convert to payment plan. The card shows this option only while the price has no orders.
-
Enter the total Number of payments.
-
Click Save Changes.
The amount and the billing interval stay read-only, because Stripe manages them. Only the number of payments is yours to set, and the cap is applied by ClickFunnels — nothing is written back to your Stripe account.
